Susan M. (Ward) Kesler,

Susan has worked as a medical case manager since 1985. A gold star reputation and contacts with medical providers all over North Carolina enable her to get appointments quickly.  Her excellent people skills bring satisfactory resolution to the client, employer, and adjuster so the injured worker is back to work in a reasonable timeframe. She has had success in resolving claims of all sorts including catastrophic spine or brain injury and a variety of orthopedic and neurological injuries. Susan is diligent in her study of the newest proven procedures and treatments helping the injured worker understand all options available and obtain the best treatment possible.  

Donna has been a medical case manager since 1986.  She has worked extensively with spinal cord injuries, catastrophic injuries and traumatic brain injuries as well as all neurologic and orthopedic injuries.  Her years of experience, professionalism, and courtesy open the door to many physicians’ offices enabling her to expedite care for injured and disabled workers.  She is able to communicate effectively with all parties involved in a claim and is very successful in progressing the injured workers’ recovery.

Laurie has worked as a medical case manager since 1989.  Her previous experience as a Medicare consultant, discharge planner and utilization review manager have helped her develop the ability to assess an injured workers’ needs and identify the resources available to obtain the most effective treatment.  Her common sense approach to case management, problem solving skills, and ability to communicate effectively help the injured worker understand and comply with the treatment needed enabling the individual to reach his maximum potential in his recovery. 



Lori has a strong background managing the care of patients facing difficult times and decisions and developed her skills while managing a rural Hospice office.  Her analytical skills include identifying the level of treatment needed and the effectiveness of the treatment received thus ensuring timely and cost effective treatment.  She has strong communication skills that make her exceptionally effective when dealing with the injured worker and all involve in the treatment plan.

Jacque Perkins, BSN, RN, CCM, FNE, DVNE

Jacque is a very unique individual that brings a wide variety of experience to medical case management.  She has been a case manager since 1987.  She was employed as a catastrophic nurse case manager for a major insurance carrier as well as working in the hospital as a case manager in an emergency room setting.  She spent many years as a nursing instructor for local community colleges. Her extensive knowledge and insightfulness have proven to be an asset in managing an injured worker’s care.  She also works as a forensic nurse examiner for a regional center.
